  1. Research Project on "Financial mechanisms for Innovative Social and Solidarity Economy Ecosystems"

    Supported by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, this project aims at fostering a better understanding of the global ecosystems, i.e. the relations and interactions between a number of Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) stakeholders favouring SSE, and the financial mechanism that supports and consolidate them.

    Zimbabwe Banks and Allied Workers Union (ZIBAWU) has taken the first steps towards the establishment of a worker cooperative which will provide employment opportunities for its members who lost their jobs in 2015.

For this issue ILO interviewed Mr Toshihiro Akahori, Deputy General Manager, Planning and International Department of National Association of Labour Banks (NALB) in Japan. Prior to joining NALB in 2015, he worked at Shizuoka Rokin Labour Bank in Shizuoka Prefecture from 1997 to 2015.
