    “Spotlight Interviews with Co-operators” is a series of interviews with co-operators from around the world with whom ILO officials have crossed paths in the course of their work on cooperatives and the wider social and solidarity economy (SSE). On this occasion, ILO interviewed Akkanut Wantanasombut, researcher at the Institute of Asia Studies at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and founder of “Tamsang-Tamsong”, a community-based social and solidarity economy platform.

  2. ILO participates in the 6th Summit of the Cooperatives of the Americas

    The 6th Summit of the Cooperatives of the Americas took place from 24 to 27 October 2022, in Luque (Asunción -Paraguay). At the summit co-operators from the region had the opportunity to debate the future of the cooperative movement based on the new world context and its role within the international community. ILO COOP/SSE Manager was one of the two main speakers on the cooperative identity session on October 25, 2022.

    The 12th edition of the ILO Global Academy on Social and Solidarity Economy focused on: “Building back better: the role of social and solidarity economy in a human-centred and planet sensitive recovery”. The Academy took place between the 15th and 26th of November 2021, online, with 200 participants from all over the world.
