    Integration of decent work in the development of agri-food value chains

    At an Evaluation meeting organized by the Belgian Development Cooperation, the ILO shared insights on the promotion of decent work in agricultural value chains in low-income countries.

  2. EU and UN agencies join forces to address root causes of child labour

    A new EU-funded action will tackle the root causes of child labour in supply chains, focusing primarily on coffee and leveraging existing efforts on cobalt. Under the leadership of the ILO, the project will be jointly implemented with FAO and UNICEF, in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC).

  4. Honey and cheese cooperatives created in Cahul district in Moldova, with ILO’s support

    In Cahul district, Moldova, the public-private Local Employment Partnership (LEP) funded by the ILO and local stakeholders, supported the creation of two cooperatives processing honey and cheese.

  7. Roll-out of Think.Coop continues in Turkey, now also extending to rural areas

    ILO’s Think.Coop training tool has been rolled out in Turkey by Youth Deal Cooperative - Turkey’s first youth-led social cooperative that aims to provide sustainable employment solutions for disadvantaged groups including youth.

  8. Transforming our world: A cooperative 2030 - Cooperative contributions to SDG 2

    This brief is part of the Transforming our world: A cooperative 2030 series produced by the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC). Through a series of 17 briefs, one for each Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), COPAC hopes to raise awareness about the significant contributions of cooperative enterprises towards achieving the 2030 Agenda in a sustainable, inclusive and responsible way, and encourage continued support for their efforts. This brief focuses on SDG 2 – ending hunger, achieving food security and improved nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture.
