  1. Sectoral Advisory Bodies 2023

    At its session in January 2023, the SABs are requested to make recommendations on global sectoral meetings to be held in the biennium 2024–25, and on preparatory work for sectoral meetings in future biennia.

  2. Technical meeting on a green, sustainable and inclusive economic recovery for the civil aviation sector

  3. Technical meeting on the future of decent and sustainable work in urban transport services

    Representatives from governments (ministries of labour and transport authorities), employers and workers will meet at the ILO to discuss the future of work in the urban transport, the challenges and opportunities ahead, and how to invest in a job-rich and sustainable recovery of the sector.

  4. Sectoral Advisory Bodies 2021

    The Sectoral Advisory Bodies (SABs), composed of tripartite constituents engaged in economic sectors, were established at the 298th Session of the ILO Governing Body (March 2007) to review sectoral developments and to make recommendations to the ILO's constituents on priorities for sectoral work. Sessions of the SABs are held every two years, and they are chaired by a representative of the Government group of the Governing Body. Following the session held in January 2021 the SABs are to make recommendations on sectoral meetings to be held in the biennium 2022–23 and on preparatory work for sectoral meetings in future biennia. These recommendations will be submitted to the Governing Body at its 341st session in March 2021.

    Tripartite Sectoral Meeting on Safety and Health in the Road Transport Sector

    Government, employer and worker representatives met at ILO headquarters in Geneva to discuss priority safety and health issues in both passenger and freight road transport.

  7. Global Dialogue Forum on the Effects of the Global Economic Crisis on the Civil Aviation Industry

    The purpose of the Forum was to discuss the effects of the economic crisis in the civil aviation industry, in order to reach a common understanding of the difficulties the industry has undergone due to structural change, and a better understanding of the effects of the low cost carrier (LCC) model on the industry as a whole, as well as consensus on a common approach that could contribute to a more sustainable industry.

  8. Workshop on the use of the "Training Toolkit on HIV/AIDS for the road transport sector"

    The general aim of this workshop is to build the capacity of the employers and workers in the road transport sector to provide sector specific training on HIV/AIDS.
