  1. Launch of ILO Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work Programme in South Africa

    The Governments of South Africa and Switzerland, in a joint event with the International Labour Organization (ILO), officially launched the new ILO Productivity Ecosystems for Decent Work programme on 5 July 2022. During the high-level launch event, the South African Labour Minister, Mr Thembelani Thulas Nxesi and the Swiss Federal Councillor, Mr Guy Parmelin also signed a Memorandum of Understanding that establishes a high-level tripartite dialogue on labour and employment issues between the two countries. Besides South Africa, the programme is also being implemented in Viet Nam and Ghana, with funding from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
