  1. Virtual launch event

    Interactive dialogue and launch of Work Wise Youth: A guide to youth rights at work

    The webinar will feature an interactive and inter-generational dialogue on the importance of promoting youth rights at work for individuals, businesses and societies, and launch "Work Wise Youth: A guide to youth rights at work". The guide is intended to support ILO constituents and other stakeholders in their initiatives aimed at raising young people's awareness of their rights at work, with a focus on those in forced displacement contexts.

    Making finance work for refugees, displaced and host communities

    The ILO and the International Training Centre of the ILO will organize this course in Turin, Italy, from 22 to 26 April 2024. We are offering this course in English and French.

  3. Global Refugee Forum 2023 side event

    Youth Leadership in Action: The future we cannot afford to ignore

    In the context of the Global Refugee Forum, the ILO is supporting the linked event on Youth Leadership in Action. The event is organized to support the Global Multi-Stakeholder Pledge to Support Work With, For & By Young People in Displacement and brings together multiple stakeholders for a dynamic dialogue on the crucial role of young refugees in global humanitarian and development processes.

    ILO Roundtable: Migrant workers’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining

    The ILO will host a virtual roundtable to discuss and present the findings of its latest report on the freedom of association and collective bargaining (FACB) rights of migrant workers. The roundtable will gather a panel of stakeholders representing the voices of the world of work and key experts, that will identify key challenges and ideas to ensure that migrant workers effectively enjoy their FACB rights .

    Pathways to financial inclusion for refugees and migrants: Empowering communities for a better future

    On 5 October 2023, the ILO participated in a panel discussion during the 2023 Building Bridges week, focussing on access to finance for refugees and migrants.

    Adaptive Social Protection Forum: Social Insurance and Climate Change in Indonesia

    The event aims to facilitate policy dialogues among tripartite representatives and experts on the potential of social insurance to mitigate climate shocks as well as potential challenges of workers and businesses and share results of the study and recommendations to Adaptive Social Protection.

    Coordination Meeting on the Establishment of Joint Inspection Team for Labour Norms on Fisheries Vessels at Fishing Ports within the Jurisdiction of the Central Java Province

    The meeting aims to officially announce and introduce the issuance of the new regional secretary decree on the joint inspection in Central Java.

  9. Roundtable discussion at the Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development 2023

    Operationalizing the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus through Decent Work

    During the Stockholm Forum on Peace and Development (15-17 May 2023), the Swedish International Development cooperation Agency (Sida) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) organize a roundtable discussion on the role of decent work across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus, in which also the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) participate.

    Employment policies for social justice

    The 2023 Symposium, organized in partnership with the European Commission's (EC) Joint Research Centre (JRC), focuses on the theme of employment policies and social justice. The Symposium will highlight the latest thinking on how integrated national employment policies tailored to the circumstances of countries promote inclusive transitions and social justice.
