Local Employment Partnerships
22 May 2018
Employment challenges might be very specific to regions and territories. In Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), a cooperation project of local municipalities, employment services, employers and schools implemented by the ILO with support from EU has proven to be a successful approach to create jobs for the long-term unemployed and other vulnerable people. The good news spread quickly beyond BiH and in March 2018 a Government delegation from Montenegro led by Edina Desič, Deputy Minister of Labour, visited the municipality of Orašje, BiH, to learn how to support these partnerships for employment promotion.
