ILO in Tanzania
Tanzania has been a member of the ILO since 1962 and has been implementing various programs, in collaboration with the ILO tripartite constituents (government, workers’ and employers’ organizations).
These programs include, among others, employment creation, cooperative development, entrepreneurship, social protection, labour law compliance, HIV/AIDS, elimination of the worst forms of child labour, and strengthening social dialogue.
