Human-centred approach to increasing workplace productivity: Evidence from Asia

This book examines emerging signs that human-centered human resource management (HRM) practices increased workplace productivity in four major economies in Asia, namely China, India, Japan and the Republic of Korea.

The book focuses on the key characteristics of productivity and the role that labour productivity played in contributing to the productivity of these countries. In particular, it examines the extent to which firms in these countries adopted human-centered HRM practices to improve labour productivity, which in turn increased firms’ productivity.
